Our history

The company history is a growth path, based on self-investment and diversification in our offer along with a great quality in our service.

Aguedaplaca – Comércio de Derivados de Madeira, Lda. was founded on May 1980 in Barrosinhas Industrial Area, in Segadães, Águeda, Portugal, where its headquarters remains.

Its creation resulted from the corporate growth strategy of Araújo & Lino founders - Araujo and José António Sá Ferreira Lino. Agueda city was considered a strategic location, after the analysis of efective and potential customers.
With a 4.500 m2 covered area, the aim is to improve delivery service in a so vast and potential area, with large manufacturing and export industries.

In 1997, an higher number of customers is notorious, and the company is able to provide an accurated cutting service with the acquisition of a large scale cutting machine.

In July 2001, died one of the gratest workers of this success and growth path. António Ferreira Lino will be remembered in a missing and fondly way, forever.

In 2002, another cutting machine is acquired, to improve precision cutting delivery service, which had a very positive impact on our customers. The first website is also lauched, an important step in company comunication.

In October 2007, it is established a partnership with the french brand PolyRey, of Wilson Art Group, thereby increasing the supply of products such as HPL, compact phenolic and melamine.

In December 2007, the last founder partner dies, Mr. José Sá Araújo. For those who had the good fortune to know him, is sure that world would be better with more men like him. The future will be the best way to honor his name.
